Disney Wedding Centerpieces - DIY Wedding Ideas and Inspiration

After getting engaged next to Sleeping Beauty's castle at Disneyland, Ty Junemann and Ashley Idema began planning a Disney-themed wedding. While they wanted to go the traditional route with some details (like that stunning dress!), the bride decided to put her DIY skills to use: She handcrafted unique centerpieces based on a different movie for each reception table.

Tablescape themes included Cinderella, The Little Mermaid, Tangled, and Beauty and the Beast. "The head table featured a miniature version [of] Sleeping Beauty's Castle to commemorate the spot where Ty proposed," Dawn Browne, the couple's photographer, explained to CountryLiving.com.

Planning a wedding is no easy feat, but spending extra time on these gorgeous decorations was well worth it to the couple. "The guests loved it, and spent part of their evening wandering around to each table," Dawn said. "It was definitely a great way to get the guests mingling!"

Centerpieces aside, the wedding cake was the other shining star of the night. Ashley's sister decorated it with cake toppers that resemble Carl and Ellie's chairs from the movie Up. D'awww!
