Michelle Heaton on stripping naked for The Real Full Monty
She has signed up to star in The Real Full Monty: Ladies' Night, a show that will see strip naked in front of millions in a bid to raise awareness of breast cancer.
And Michelle Heaton admitted she has 'got a lot of nerves' ahead of her monumental TV moment when speaking on Monday's Loose Women, particularly because it will see her publicly bare the scars from her double mastectomy.
The former Liberty X star, 38, said that rehearsals for the live show have been like 'therapy' following a 'very turbulent six years'.

She said: 'We’ve kind of got a lot of nerves. Now, we don’t have time to think about it. We’ve got a really busy few days.'

She confessed: 'Initially, I said no. And then I spoke to my husband and he said, "You’re crazy.

'"You’re trying to tell all these women out there to be confident, who may be the same as you, if you can’t do it, and you’ve got confidence, then they can’t be confident in their body and their scars."
'So I was like, OK. Then Coleen rang me and persuaded me even more.'
The prospect of developing breast cancer is one that Michelle is all too familiar with, as the mother-of-two has had both a double mastectomy and hysterectomy because of the cancer genes she carries.

Explaining her involvement, she divulged: 'I had an 85% risk of breast cancer and 40% risk of ovarian cancer.
'Five years ago I had the double mastectomy reconstruction and three years ago I had a total hysterectomy. That obviously plunges me straight into menopause. I can no longer have children. It’s been a very turbulent six years.'
She added: 'I haven't really had time to grieve or think about it so I see the show as a bit of therapy.'
