THIRTY Massachusetts students needed hospital treatment after drinking 'blackout rage gallons'
About 30 University of Massachusetts students attending a St. Patrick's Day party were rushed to the hospital after drinking 'blackout rage gallons' inspired by a TikTok trend.
Several students were seen in videos walking in groups to the party known as Blarney Blowout with their drinks, dubbed BORGs, while wearing green attire on Saturday afternoon.
The infamous TikTok drinks are crafted using a half-filled water jug gallon topped off with Vodka, electrolytes and flavoring that can drown out the taste of alcohol.
BORGs became popular among college students since they lessen the chances of being spiked and prevent the spread of infectious diseases, according to Poison Control.
Officials said 28 ambulances were called to the party, including from outside stations. There were no life-threatening cases, The Amherst Fire Department said.

While on their way to Blarney Blowout, some students were stopped by TikTokers asking what they named their drinks.
Most BORGs are known to have some sort of design created with sharpies.
'We gotta know, what's your BORG name?' a man can be heard asking UMass students walking in a group to the party.
'I hate being so BORG,' one female student responded while holding up her blue drink.
'BORGasm,' another chimed in.
About 20 more students with BORGs walked by with multi-colored drinks.
TikToker kettlebellkel filmed herself right before heading to the party while holding her green BORG. She was later seen at the outdoor party interviewing her peers about the name of their BORG.
'What's the name of your BORG,' she asked.
'This is the curious BORG,' one student in a green Boston Celtic jersey said.
Other witty responses included, Justin BORGber, Jake GreenBORG, BORGan Freema and Soulja BORG.
Several BORGs were nearly half full to empty with several students appearing to be drunk. The caption of the video read, 'Bad day to be a borg at UMass' and garnered 1.8 million views.

Several students said they started drinking as early as 7am on Saturday
One person recalled the chaos as they watched ambulances arrive at the off-campus party.
'It was very hectic,' Ronan Lambert told Western Mass News. 'This whole street was booked up with students and faculty. Cops were everywhere.'
Other students at the party recalled seeing more police presence around UMass for Saturday's festivities in comparison to last.
'This is the first time we’re actually seeing them, it’s the first time they told us to leave,' Mia Dellestrio told the news outlet. 'So, its definitely different this year than last year.
'Some people are probably like ‘"oh my God, the cops are here."'
Meanwhile, University officials said they plan to work on educating students about alcohol safety.
